There are several issues to be taken into account when using older lenses on a new digital SLR. First is that you will lose the autofocus and/or auto aperture features of your camera, also you will have to take into account the size difference between the CMOS sensor in your camera and a 35 mm frame. The sensor being smaller will mean that you will have to make some calculations as to what the actual zoom on a given lens will be. For example if you have a 55mm lens for a 35mm camera, it will actually function as a ~ 82.5mm lens (you would use the actual mm rating and multiply it by 1.5).

oouu que ermooozo video!
They both do different things. The polarizer cuts down reflected light, the neutral density makes the image darker without shifting the color…like gray sunglasses. If I were in the market and could purchase only one, I'd start with the polarizer.
A Japanese company called Zeon claims it has developed a film for the polarizing plates of LCD screens that boosts picture contrast by more than an order of magnitude. The company is already selling films for those plates to LCD TV makers like Samsung whose screens are based on vertical alignment technology. It produces films for OLED screens, too. Zeon’s new, so-called phase difference film, however, is made from Cyclo Olefin Polymer, which makes it suitable for LCD TVs based on in-plane-switching (IPS) technology. Makers relying on IPS technology are Panasonic or Hitachi, for example. The new Zeon film inhibits the diffusion of light from the backlight. As a result, viewers get to see clearer pictures.
Yes if it is the same thread size. The 17-40mm has a 77mm filter thread size so if it is the same then yes it will fit. That said be aware that the optical quality of these add on lenses is very poor. If you want a fisheye for anything other than a cheap thing to play around with you should buy a real fisheye lens. The Canon fisheye is great for a full frame or film camera but Canon does not make a fisheye for the cropped sensor DSLR's. In that case the Tokina 11-17mm fisheye is a very good choice.
There is a reason why most people suggest a reflector. If you are serious about amateur astronomy, then you probably need sufficient aperture to gather the light for those dim, distant objects. Reflectors, especially Dobsonian reflectors, are simply the lowest cost way to obtain maximum aperture. The biggest benefit that can be obtained by taking the step to a Schmidt-Cassegrain is the availability of a clock drive, which will allow you to track targets without pushing the scope. You can do this with a big reflector as well, but you will pay a steep price in weight and ease of setup for the same aperture. If you want that big aperture (very important) and a tracking motor, then the best and lightest option is a Schmidt-Cassegrain, but it will cost about 3 or 4 times more than a Dob of equivalent aperture.
I can see alot of stars right now. I wish a have a telescope.
I think overall the SkyQuest XT6 will be a much better choice. You will be able to use it on the ground vs a tabletop. It will be easier to collimate and keep collimated. It should perform better on the Moon and planets because of this AND because f/8 vs f/5 is much more forgiving of eyepiece aberrations.
Plus, and this is a big plus — it is easier to manufacture a good quality mirror at f/8 than at f/5 which means that you are less likely to get a lemon with the longer focal ratio.
The only real advantage of the StarBlast is that it is a little more portable. But the SkyQuest isn't that heavy either.
hmmm what megapixel?? or gigapixel

I think the polarizer is a great idea for any shots on the beach. Even if you don't think you are going to be taking any "scenic vistas" of the sky and clouds or of the ocean, you will find that the light at the beach is really highly polarized. This is due to the fact that it is largely reflected off of the water, which is a flat reflective surface. You will get less glare and deeper, more saturated colors if you use the polarizer.
Just put it on the lens and rotate it slowly until things "look better" to you. You'll see the difference.
Be careful about getting sand into your camera on the beach, though!
Profound and beautiful.

They are also in bed with the unions. I think that the lobbyists are really running this country!
Haha I would give it a miss and get my telescope out if I could, but the weathers been bad all week

Any Macro lenses are good, they are really nice for close up shots, such as flowers and what not.

“Brookhaven National Laboratory has created a heretofore unknown form of matter. The matter we normally encounter, and are composed of, has nuclei of protons and neutrons that contain no strange quarks. It was known that anti-strange matter could exist, and using the Solenoidal Tracker at Brookhaven’s RHIC, scientists detected a couple of dozen instances of antihypernuclei. The ‘Z’ axis of the Periodic Table has already been extended in the positive direction by the discovery of hypernuclei, but this new discovery extends it in the negative direction for this new type of ’strange’ antimatter — which may exist in the core of collapsed stars and may provide insight into why our universe appears to be made almost solely of matter and not antimatter.”

Well, you can look through the lens and spin to see what looks good to you. Another method is to make a "gun" from your thumb and forefinger. Point at the sun. Where ever your thumb is pointing will be the area that is affected the most, about 90 degrees from the sun.
it means that the science classes that you took must have included a lab.
I took a Physical science class that was only lecture no lab,
then i took a biology class with a lab.
so guess which one counted?
rofl i noticed that to
Yeah the girl looked diffrent
