can I use any telescope lens or does it have to be a particular type

US $81.45

assuming you mean “eyepiece”, yes, they are interchangeable, as long as the barrel sizes match. good scopes have 2 inch or 1.25 inch focusers. junk scopes have a 0.965 inch focuser.
since you don’t even know how to specify your telescope – they are specified by aperture, not focal length – i wouldn’t expect much.

Washington DC (SPX) Jan 28, 2010 – For the first time, astronomers have found a supernova explosion with properties similar to a gamma-ray burst, but without seeing any gamma rays from it. The discovery, using the National Science Foundation’s Very Large Array (VLA) radio telescope, promises, the scientists say, to point the way toward locating many more examples of these mysterious explosions.
Why not? Not my taste, but I guess there are a number of people who’d want that in a heartbeat.
telescope ?
The largest refractor ever constructed was French: an instrument sporting two interchangeable objective lenses (for visual and photographic use respectively) 1.25 m (49.2 in) in diameter, with a focal length of 57 m (187 ft). It was on display at the 1900 Paris Exposition.
Hugh Pickens writes “Science Daily reports that using the United Kingdom Infrared Telescope (UKIRT) in Hawaii, astronomers have discovered what may be the coolest sub-stellar body ever found outside our own solar system. Too small to be stars and with insufficient mass to maintain hydrogen-burning nuclear fusion reactions in their cores, ‘brown dwarfs’ have masses smaller than stars but larger than gas giant planets like Jupiter, with an upper limit in between 75 and 80 Jupiter masses. ‘This looks like the fourth time in three years that the UKIRT has made a record breaking discovery of the coolest known brown dwarf, with an estimated temperature not far above 200 degrees Celsius,’ says Dr. Philip Lucas at the University of Hertfordshire. Due to their low temperature these objects are very faint in visible light, and are detected by their glow at infrared wavelengths. The object known as SDSS1416+13B is in a wide orbit around a somewhat brighter and warmer brown dwarf, SDSS1416+13A,…
all doctors require an exam witin a year to sell contacts, however there are a lot of web sites that sell contacts. I have not had an exam for 4 years now and buy mine from costalcontacts.com and they are much cheaper tham the doctors office too

…wow…
sorry, it does not have interchangeable lens system. the factory lens is solidly attached and does not come off, even for repair.
it does have a 37mm diameter filter attachment capability. you can get a wide angle adaptor lens to screw on to the front of the lens. this causes barrel distortion, particularly as the factory zoom can widen more than normal by itself. The 2 advantages of this distortion, especially for skateboard video is 1. it eliminates the need to focus, every thing from a few inches out will be in focus. 2. it eliminates the need to point, the picture being so wide that aiming really isn't needed.
Kat is lovely.
“If you want to explain vision, for instance, and you argue that the lenses in your eye produce an image, which your brain, or a little homunculus inside your head ’sees’ as if projected on a screen (which is why this problem is also known as the Cartesian theater), you haven’t explained anything. All you’ve done is take the question one step back. Now you’d have to explain how the little homunculus ’sees’ the image, and because of your original answer, you are committed to posit the existence of a smaller homunculus inside the head of the first homunculus… Lather, rinse, repeat all the way down the infinite regress you’ve just created and the mystery is not one step closer to being solved.”

The refractor cards have a special layer within the laminate that gives a "rainbowy" effect when the card is tilted against the ambient light. The easiest way to identify them — there are no markings indicating the refractors — is to have one next to a few regular Finest cards. A refractor will quickly jump out from non-refractor Finest cards during observation.
Definitely a reflector – building large refractor lenses is not easy and definitley very expensive. You can buy/make apochromatic reflectors these days that rival the best refractors if need be.
