"The extensive glossary is a real jargon buster and will be a great help for the absolute beginner. I enjoyed this book hugely and recommend it very strongly. Kinzer is a true enthusiast. If he does not get you out there and looking up, no one will." - The Observatory
"In clear, accurate and precise terms, [the book] explains what sort of things you are likely to see...observing the sky, and from the beginning sets out to dispel common misconceptions about what is needed in order to get pleasure from observing. The descriptions of different types of binocular and telescope set-up are particularly useful to the beginner. ... Just enough explanation of each of the types of object is given so that the observer can feel they know something about what they have been looking at ... A recommended read for all who are new to stargazing...." - David Bowdley, Astronomy Now
"...written in a friendly, encouraging tone...loaded with good advice...Reading this book should be required for anyone who plans to purchase a telescope..." - Dr. John Dickey, professional astronomer
"This book does a good job of covering most of the aspects of starting recreational astronomy, from naked eye observing to purchasing and using a telescope." - Hazel Collett, Journal of the Royal British Astronomical Association
"Difficult astronomical concepts are explained clearly, there's an excellent glossary and the text is broken up with useful pictures and information boxes." - BBC Sky at Night
"[Kinzer] wisely avoids recommending particular models, as specific suggestions will quickly become outdated. Instead, the book offers tips on telling flashy but poor quality features from those that will enhance an evening's stargazing." - Physics World

You have hit a plateau. It will take some time to reacha higher wait, but when you do you will probably be on a strength gaining streak. Also, try some different chest workouts, and bench press variations to get your body "shocked" again, it is becoming used to same old bench press probably.

I don't think you need formal training, I've been a successful professional makeup artist for 15+ years and never had formal training. Like you, I paint, I sculpt…make up is just an extension of art. I'm not sure what kind of communitiy you live in, but is there a theater scene there? If so, volunteer to be an assistant for theater productions, that is how I got my start when I was about 15, you'll learn a lot, and make good connections; which could lead to a paying job down the road. You could go into department store cosmetics, but be careful, many lines out there really limit the artistic creativity of their artists.
Since your an artist, you probably have a good grasp of colors, shadowing, contouring, blending, etc…that is all make up is. You can easily learn some of the technical aspects on the job. Good luck!
I'm with Rachel on this one. And no, not all recreational drugs are safe, either. Most of what you hear when you're young is false propaganda about drugs. Pot has never killed anyone, trying acid won't turn you crazy, and X won't put holes in your brain. The dangers of drugs are almost never from what the drug did to the user, but what the user did on the drug. That's why you stick away from Angel Dust ; P
If you're going to try drugs, at least inform yourself about what you're trying. Don't be a junkie, be a smart drug-user. Just because it's illegal doesn't mean it's bad. Hell, fireworks are illegal.. In some states having ice cream in your back pocket is illegal.. My advice is if you try shrooms, have an experienced person get them because it can get tricky for newbies. If you're trying to roll (XTC), ask about its content. While most are gonna say the're clean when they may or may not be, it never hurts to ask. I say this because beans often have other chemicals like meth mixed in and you may not be prepared.
Stick to your intuition and don't do something you're not 100% sure about EVER. ALWAYS start small because you never know how it'll effect you. What takes my friends 1 hit to feel often takes me 4 for the same effect (even without tolerance). However, if they took 4 they'd lose their minds until it wears off (it's happened). Anyway, have fun, be safe!

Protestors led by the New Israel Fund supported group, Adalah, struck their version of a blow for “human rights” and “justice” by disrupting a performance of the Israel ballet in Vermont. According to Ynet news, the self-proclaimed forces of justice and freedom under Adalah claimed that “anyone who watched the performance was “supporting Israel’s apartheid policy.”‘ Contributors to the New Israel Fund can be proud that they are getting their money’s worth, as the Israel Ballet is certain a bastion of apartheid Zionism. Apologists for the New Israel Fund, who defend it against charges that it is funding anti-Israel organizations can point out that this noble operation of the Palestinians was aimed not only at Zionism, but at degenerate Western culture. In the secular democratic utopia promoted by Adalah, there will be no need for a ballet troop. Belly dancers and dancign Sufi dervishes will be characteristic of the New Israel created with the aid of New Israel funds. Ami Isseroff

"At this point there are no convincing data to support this concern. The existing data are consistent with the idea that this would not be a problem if the medical use of marijuana were as closely regulated as other medications with abuse potential." –Janet E. Joy, Stanley J. Watson, Jr., and John A Benson, Jr., "Marijuana and Medicine: Assessing the Science Base," Division of Neuroscience and Behavioral Research, Institute of Medicine (Washington, DC: National Academy Press
All of the 13 states with medical marijuana laws conduct government surveys of adolescent drug use, and 11 of these laws have been in effect long enough for the surveys to have produced what scientists term "longitudinal" data — that is, data that trace the progression of teen marijuana use from before enactment of the state's medical marijuana law to the period after the law went into effect. Not one of these states has experienced an increase in youth marijuana use since its medical marijuana law was enacted. In fact, all states have reported overall decreases — exceeding 50% in some age groups.

Well, astronomy has everything to do with chemistry. For instance, you could talk about how stars are responsible for converting hydrogen (the simplest element and also the most abundant in the universe), into all the other elements we see today. Our sun is made out of 90% hydrogen and 10% helium. The sun converts hydrogen into helium by compressing the hydrogen untill four hydrogens fuse into one helium atom billions of times. When the sun runs out of hydrogen, it will then compress the helium into carbon, then the carbon into nitrogen, then the nitrogen into oxygen, and larger stars keep this process going all the way up to iron. All the other heavier than iron elements are created through supernova explosions. All these elements are thrown out into space when a star dies, and this star debree is what made our planets and us. So, we are literally made from star dust.
Also, we can tell the chemical make up of gases in space through spectroscopy, (the breaking down of light through a type of prism). We can tell which elements we are looking at by seeing their chemical finger print in the spectra. Different elements absorb different wavelengths of light, and so we can tell what elements we are looking at, just by observing the light from it.

The constant protest and demonstrations against the Olympic Torch Relay and the Olympic is of concern to everyone. There are a few theories and possible reasons behind all these fiascos.
1. Jealousy and Hatred: The demonstrators have been all brain washed by corrupt western ideas. They are just against China for the sake of just opposing China. China is a success story. From suffering poverty and hunger to exporting of food and technology, from hand building of The Great Wall to launching of rockets into space, from riding bicycle to driving motorcars, whatever you can think of, it is impossible to call it a success. The West is jealous of China’s success. They want to discredit China. The Tibetan issue comes handy as an excuse to be used worldwide. They say that Tibetans are a different people, have different language and with different culture. Hence they must be independent from China. If this argument is valid, why not free Hawaii, or Alaska, or Acheh or Jaffna or Kurdish? They are different peoples with different cultures too. Instead of using their hands, their legs and their mouths to protest, perhaps they should use their heads to think whether their actions justify their cause.
2. Ignorance: China and Tibet has long historical tie. In the 7th century, the Tibetans were all nomadic people living in the wild, at most at tents without religion. The Chinese Princess Wencheng married the Tibetans King Songtson Gambo in the year 634 and introduced agriculture, poultry farming, printing and other technologies to Tibet. Above all, Buddhism was introduced and practiced until now. The famous tourist attractions, the Jhongkang Temple and the Potala Palace were build by the Chinese engineers and trades person during the 7th centuries. Tibetans has gained a lot in terms of knowledge and technology due to the influence of China. (See ).
Tibet has 2.7 millions people. Whether they are well treated depends on one’s individual knowledge of China and Tibet and their current affairs and current state of development. The majority of China 1.3 billion is still poor and suffering. The Olympic is an opportunity for the Chinese people to get together to improve their contacts with the rest of the world and to improve their livelihood. We should not suppress the wishes of 1.3 billion people to join the world through the Olympic to improve themself.
In welcoming the Olympic, 200 millions Chinese are learning English. More westerners will visit China and influence Chinese people and its Government as well on some good western way of life and the western democratic ideas. China is progressively opening up. The Beijing Olympic is a golden opportunity to further open up China. The demonstrators are ignorant thinking that they can just tell China what to do but they are not aware that by doing so they are helping to kill this opportunity. Moreover, they are also interfering in the internal affair of a sovereign country.
3. Greed: The demonstrators have ample opportunities to protest against their own governments. They can fight for free education, free medicine, equal opportunity and better social support. They can fight to prevent the rich from getting richer, and fight for the poor from getting poorer. There are so many issues that they cannot fight or they have no resources to fight. Instead, these issues are not enough to occupy them; they are greedy for more issues. So they demonstrate against the Olympic Torch Relay and against the Olympic.
Whether one agrees to the above depends on an individual. There may also be other theories beyond me. Whatever we do, I believe it is counter productive to boycott the Olympic or to injure the spirit of the Olympic Game. We should look into ourself and think we can help to make China or our country or any other country more progressive.
It is basically wrong to take the moral high ground and condemn others for what we do not like or for what we do not know fully.

“PARENTS looking to steer their teens away from drugs may want to encourage them stay in bed longer. Lack of sleep seems to lead to increased drug use – not the other way around, as many researchers previously concluded – and this is likely to be a pattern of behaviour that teenagers acquire from their friends. “Your sleep is going to influence my sleep and that will make me more likely to do drugs,” says Sara Mednick, a neuroscientist at the University of California, San Diego, who led the study. Establishing whether one behaviour leads to another usually requires an experiment in which a particular variable is tweaked. But in the first analysis of its kind, Mednick and her team used changes in the friendship networks of 90,000 teens during the course of a school year as a “natural experiment” (see “Natural experiments: Working in the history lab”) to discover what influences led them to use cannabis. They say their analysis showed not only that cannabis and poor sleep spread together, but also that lack of sleep was causing marijuana use. Having one friend who had less than 7 hours of shut-eye a night increased the likelihood that a teenager had also used marijuana by 20 per cent, the team found. Also, the more sleep-deprived friends the teenager had, the more likely it was that he or she smoked dope. The team also found that the most popular teenagers – those most central to their school’s social network – were the ones most likely to sleep poorly, do drugs and pass these behaviours on.”
One thing you could do, is to start collecting theme toys. A lot of people are into these. You know, things like Shrek, Transformers, etc. But keep them in the original box. You can still have reluglar toys but a section for collectibles. Read some books on starting a small businesses. I don't want to discourage you, but the average new business usually only last about two years. Make sure you have enough money to cover the hard times. Talk to people who own a small business and ask their advice. Good luck and happy selling.
Don't forget this: location, location, location.
I’ve seen little inclination on the part of humans to make the changes that would ensure healthy survival of Homo sapiens on the planet so I’m not hopeful of the future. However, I am determined to enjoy my present as much as I can (responsibly, natch).

I've had two IUD's one was the Paragard and one was the Mirena – I got the Paragard out to get pregnant the first time and got the Mirena (which I would NEVER get again) out to go on birth control and then went off birth control to get pregnant this time.
Would the IUD's themselves cause a problem or difficulty in conceiving – unlikely.
Could other hormonal issues unrelated to the IUD's cause issues – of course, but so could a lot of other factors.
I wouldn't worry about it – it sounds like you didn't have a problem conceiving last time and the Mirenas work well for you…

Please…feel free to explain to me exactly what you mean by that, friend. We’re here because of religion? There are many different kinds of religion out there. Are you saying that we’re the result of the wills of the Gods of all of them? Or are you referring to a specific religion?
